Documents - Since the computers have been re-imaged, you should find that all of your documents in your H:drive/ My Documents folder are in tact. However, if you left any documents on your desktop, they were probably deleted with the re-imaging.
Email Setup - You may have to set up your "Outlook Email Client" again. Here are the directions for setting up email:
Outlook Webmail - Looks new and different. It is now part of "Live365" through Microsoft.
AUP Changes - Due to the AUP changes, we have to have more documented data on the legality of the AUP. In doing this, we have had to make your Internet access hinge on your AUP proficiency. So, starting tomorrow, the first time you login to the computer, you will be prompted to download (or at least click on) the AUP pdf file. Once you click on the file, you will automatically be redirected to a 10 question quiz. You can pass this quiz with an 80%. If, for some reason, you fail this quiz, you will be redirected to the student "extranormal" video prior to retesting. If, for some reason, you fail the quiz again, your account will be frozen and you will be asked to see your STC or TIS to go over the AUP and retest. :-)
Sub Accounts - Each substitute will be trained on the AUP and will now have their own login (firstname.lastname). The normal subs will NOT have email, programs folder, or Q: drive access. The long-term subs will still have the normal access that they have always had. With long-term subs, if you have or are going to have a long-term sub, please request the person's account through the Technology Work Order system (or email one of us directly) to get the teacher moved to your school's email distribution list during the time that they are at your school. Vice versa - once a long term sub leaves, please make your STC aware of their departure so they can be deactivated from your school's list.
Directions for placing sub plans in C: drive for substitute teachers.
Wireless Access - BCPSnet should be used for district-owned laptops. BCPSmobile should be used for district-owned i-devices (iPads, iPods) / Nooks / Androids and "personally owned" mobile devices, laptops, phones, and tablets.
